When I moved away from the town Mum and Dad live in, they kept
telling me they wished I'd write down how to use the PC in the way I used
to explain it to them. Several other people said much the same. That's
why...
...I then wrote Computers One Step at a Time. I don't claim
you can learn to use your PC in 10 minutes or one evening or anything like
that — it's just not true. What is true is that you can learn to be
in control of your PC. And these books make it as simple as possible, in
plain, easy to understand English.
As a business, I believe we can
be successful and treat our customers well. We aim to send out all orders the day we receive them or the next day if you phone after 3:30pm. If you ever want your money back, you'll get it without having to fill in huge long forms or call us up umpteen times. Oh, and the phones are answered by actual human beings (mainly Emma and Laura - or one of the rest of us if lots of people are calling that day!), not machines.
It seems obvious that's the right way to be - I don't know why more businesses aren't like that.
